PARIS21 conducted the 2nd workshop on ADAPT in Tanzania from 3-6 July 2017 in Dar es Salaam. This workshop primarily included Tanzania NBS officials, key line ministries (MDAs), and the Planning Commission. This workshop built upon the initial work done during the 1st ADAPT workshop (held 12-15 December 2016) and the background work undertaken by NBS afterwards along with key stakeholders.
Attended by 30-40 participants, the workshop also consolidated the efforts that the Government of Tanzania is making in adopting the SDGs. The ongoing SDG domestication process, which is expected to generate a national list of SDGs indicators that are fully reflected in existing data collection systems, is going to be harnessed for further informed exploration. These partially reflected and not-reflected indicators would be assessed to identify additional gaps and potential solutions.
The workshop is organised in collaboration with dLab - a project of the partnership between US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
