ADAPT continues in Rwanda

Date:

16 January 2017 to 20 January 2017

PARIS21 conducted a workshop on Advanced Data Planning Tool (ADAPT) in Rwanda 16-20 January 2017.

Having made tremendous progress in the SDGs localisation process, Rwanda stands to gain from the rigorous assessment of indicators contained in its second five-year development plan, the 2nd - Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy (EDPRS2) - monitoring matrix using the ADAPT - an innovative planning tool developed by PARIS21 for statistical offices to adapt to new demands and changing data practices.

The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) will use the ADAPT to complement the work done so far in SDG data gap assessments, take stock of the progress made, and develop a plan for further consolidation in this area. With a focus on the upcoming 3rd iteration of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS3), this workshop layed the groundwork for data planning for both short- and long-term data goals.
