19-23 July 2017
PARIS21 participated in the kick-off meeting of the UNSD-DFID project on SDG monitoring in Bangkok, Thailand, held 19-23 June 2017. It included the participation of two staff from eight National Statistics Offices, including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Nepal, and Viet Nam.
PARIS21 was invited to present the Advanced Data Planning Tool (ADAPT) which is a tool designed to provide systematic inputs into the National Strategies for the Development of Statistics (NSDS), including for SDG capacity development. ADAPT helps data producers in the National Statistical System consult, cost and visualise their indicators defined by the national development plan and international frameworks.
ADAPT will be used by the countries to help with the SDG assessment process and mainstreaming of statistical development into national monitoring processes. PARIS21 will continue to collaborate with UNSD to roll-out ADAPT in additional countries.
