International Association for Statistical Education (IASE) Roundtable Conference

Berlin, Germany, 19-21 July

PARIS21 presented a new methodology for measuring national statistical literacy using national newspaper archives at the IASE Roundtable Conference on “Promoting Understanding of Statistics about Society” in Berlin, Germany. This methodology, which is still under active development, quantifies the current level of statistical understanding and use of statistics for 121 developing countries to inform literacy initiatives and measure progress at national and international levels.
