PARIS21 attended the 2016 RSS Conference in Manchester, UK and presented a global indicator for statistical literacy and case studies quantifying the return on investment of Official Statistics. The literacy indicator was developed to report on the Busan Action Plan for Statistics (BAPS) Logical Framework. Case studies from England, Mexico and Spain convincingly argue for the value of official statistics and the allocation of more resources to statistical data collection, production and processing.
