The Development Data Group of the World Bank is pleased to invite submissions of proposals for the Summer 2013 Window of the Trust Fund for Statistical Capacity Building (TFSCB). TFSCB, a multi-donor trust fund, aims to improve the capacity of developing countries to compile and use statistics with an overall objective of supporting the management of development results. TFSCB works closely with PARIS21 to advance coordinated international efforts to improve statistics globally.

TFSCB supports projects aiming at strengthening national statistical systems in priority areas and developing statistical capacity in a sustainable manner, including openness and accessibility of data in line with the Open Data Initiative. The maximum amount granted for a proposal is US$ 500,000.

Please note that the application procedures have changed. Prospective Task Team Leaders are advised to follow the TFSCB Summer 2013 Call for Proposals Guide and are encouraged to contact Ingrid Ivins ([email protected]) and Mustafa Dinc ([email protected]) to inform them of a forthcoming submission.

The deadline for the submission of applications is August 1, 2013. Furthermore, a second Window may be anticipated for late Fall 2013. For further information please consult the TFSCB Guidelines and Procedures.
