The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) is convening a meeting of OECS Directors of Statistics, to be held 4 to 6 October 2011 in St. Lucia. The overarching objective of the meeting will be to inform OECS Directors of Statistics of the latest developments with respect to the OECS Secretariat's ongoing and planned statistical initiatives and to ensure the full involvement and commitment of Member States to the successful implementaiton of these initiatives. Among the issues to be discussed is the proposed OECS Regional Strategy for the Development of Statistics.

The meeting will be jointly supported by the OECS Secretariat, PARIS21, and the International Labour Organization's Sub-regional Office for the Caribbean.
