The State of Qatar celebrates on 6 December of each year a National Day of Statistics, which aims to raise awareness in society of the importance of statistics. The event is also intended to assist in the implementation of the country's National Development Strategy 2011-2016, to achieve the vision of Qatar 2030. The theme of the 2011 celebrations is "Statistics today .. the future of tomorrow" and will consider how best to document the relationship between data producers and users.
