A delegation from the Department of Economic Affairs of the African Union Commission (AUC) visited the PARIS21 Secretariat on Thursday 19 October 2012.

This delegation was composed of Mr. Yeo Dossina, Senior Statistician, and Mr. Jose Awong Alene, Statistician. The objective of the meeting was to discuss upcoming joint activities between AUC and the PARIS21 Secretariat: peer reviews of National Statistical Systems, a compendium of statistical laws and communication activities.

The PARIS21 Secretariat also confirmed its attendance at the next meeting of African Directors-General of Statistics which will take place in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire in November 2012 on the theme: statistical requirements for the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
