PARIS21, along with African Institutions involved in statistical development (AfDB, AUC and UNECA) have jointly produced an advocacy booklet to highlight to high-level African authorities, the importance of the role of statisticians in the post 2015 MDG debate. This booklet was used at the Sixth Joint Annual Meetings of ECA Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development and AU Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (21-24 March 2013). All Ministers attending this conference received the booklet and were made acutely aware of the key role of statistics in this important development agenda.
