Anguilla, Barbados, Belize, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago came together for a regional training organised by PARIS21 in collaboration with the Caribbean Community Secretariat on 20 -22 October.

The national strategy for the development of statistics (NSDS) training is aimed at strengthening capacity of national statistics offices (NSOs) in the Caribbean region, specifically the heads of NSOs and/or NSDS managers, to lead the design and implementation of NSDS following the 10 fundamental principles for preparing and implementing an NSDS and to coordinate their national statistical systems. The regional NSDS training was hosted by the Barbados Statistical Service as part of their World Statistics Day celebration.
