On 2-4 November, PARIS21 organised a Regional Workshop on data visualisation and communication in the Pacific. In collaboration with the University of the South Pacific (USP) and the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC), the workshop introduced university students and statisticians from National Statistical Offices to geo-information systems, interactive web-based graphs and the design of infographics.

The blended approach of the event has proven to be very successful, as participants with different professional backgrounds could profit from each other’s expertise and experiences. This can be a model for future workshops.
