PARIS21 participated in the 8th meeting of the Statistical Conference of the Americas of ECLAC. The Meeting was opened at UNASUR (Union of South American Nations) by the President of Ecuador, Mr. Rafael Correa, showing the high-level importance given by the country to both statistical systems as well as regional cooperation.

The meeting brought together 31 countries as well as international organisations such as IMF, IADB, UNODC, UNFPA, ONUDI, FAO and OIT. PARIS21 gave a presentation on the data revolution and its implications for this region as well as the role of regional organisations in this respect.
