PARIS21 participated in an expert meeting on measuring the targets on peace, inclusion and freedom under Sustainable Development Goal 16. It was held in Oslo, Norway on 28-29 January 2016.

The meeting gave representatives from NSOs, UN agencies, research bodies, policy and other civil society organisations an opportunity to consider the feasibility of different indicators that are being proposed to measure SDG 16. PARIS21 was invited to make a presentation on “Conceptualising and measuring the quality of decision-making”.

On the sidelines of the meeting, PARIS21 participated in a Steering Committee meeting of the Praia Group on Governance Statistics, of which it is a member. This was also a welcome occasion to discuss the next meeting of the group, which will be co-hosted by PARIS21 and the OECD in July 2016 in Paris.
