The Understanding Risk Forum is a biennial conference of disaster risk management experts from around the world. The event was organised by the Global Facility for Disaster Risk and Recovery (GFDRR). Approximately 400-500 people attended the conference including representatives from government agencies, NGOs, international organisations, insurers and tech companies.

PARIS21 participated in a technical session panel on innovations and social vulnerability to:

  1. draw attention to the relevance of official statistics and the work of PARIS21
  2. promote PISTA as a tool for development data-related innovations
