The PARIS21 Logical Framework (logframe) defines the goal, purpose, outcomes and outputs of the PARIS21 Partnership for the period 2007-2010. These items are defined as follows:
GOAL
“Develop a culture of evidence-based policy making and implementation which serves to improve governance and government effectiveness in reducing poverty and achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).”
PURPOSE:
“Statistical information is used by PARIS21 partners to inform development policy decisions and to manage their implementation”.
OUTCOMES AND OUTPUTS:
“National and international statistical programmes of each PARIS21 Partner:
- Are centred on designing and implementing NSDSs
- Are well coordinated across NSSs and between governments and donors
- Build statistical capacity
- Provide better statistics for immediate priority needs”.
For each item in the logframe, PARIS21 has outlined Objectively Verifiable Indicators, the Means of Verification, and the Assumptions/Risks. Details under these same headings are also provided for the PARIS21 Secretariat's activities and outputs.
