Between May and June 2023, the Maldives Bureau of Statistics (MBS), the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services (MGFSS) and PARIS21 implemented a joint study exploring gender data use for policy making in Maldives.
This two-day workshop is an opportunity to share recommendations for strengthened gender data use in policy making, which emerged from study. It will further provide an environment for different stakeholders to engage actively in discussions around recommendations and solutions for meaningful gender data use.
The workshop will be held in person across two days. The first day will be dedicated to the recommendations emerging from the study and experience sharing among participants. The second day will be dedicated to disseminating the study results and will target a broader audience.
Participants include representatives from government institutions and a selection of civil society organisations (CSOs). Individuals and organisations engaged during the fieldwork implementation in particular, will be targeted by this event.
