WORKSHOP ON NEW APPROACHES TO STATISICAL CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT
HOSTED BY PARIS21 AND UNDP
OECD, Paris, France – participation by invitation only
UNDP and PARIS21 are organising a workshop that will discuss the new requirements for Capacity Development for National Statistical Systems in the context of the SDGs and emerging needs of the 2030 Agenda. The workshop will aim at developing concrete principles and guidelines that translate the emerging framework on ‘Capacity Development 4.0’ into actions for people, organisations and National Statistical Systems. The discussion will be informed by ongoing work of PARIS21 and partners to develop a conceptual framework for Capacity Development 4.0, identify operational mechanisms for implementing new approaches to statistical capacity development, and define quantifiable metrics for assessing progress of such implementation efforts.
